Dr. Trung Tran DDS, MS

What is the most rewarding part of being an EODDS volunteer?
The people we serve make our efforts totally worth it!  By the time they have begun their program and get to us, they are so appreciative of the life-changing effects that an improved smile can make for them.  Often, our entire team gets a hug, and many times shares a happy tear, as we complete their treatment.

What is the most rewarding part of being an EODDS volunteer?
One of the core values in our practice is to be a servant leader in our community through the irrational generosity of our gifts and resources to bless others. The opportunity to help people in our community who can’t afford dental treatment allows us to live out this value.  The gratitude we receive from our patients following their treatment is the true reward for being a part of the program.

What would you say to other dentist who are not currently volunteers?
Our profession is so blessed. It affords us the opportunity to be life changers. We impact the way our patients look, the way they feel and this gives them self-confidence, self-worth, and dignity. Most importantly we make a difference in their health and quality of life. What if through our work, we bless someone with a smile that leads them to improved self-confidence. This could lead to a better job to support their family. The impact can effect generations. There’s no telling what one act of generosity and obedience to our calling can lead to.

Dr. Tran lives in the Tulsa area with his beautiful wife and 4 darling children. Dr. Tran’s core value is “make it better”.  Regardless of where you are, always looking  for ways to “make it better”. He is passionate about growing as a servant leader in both his practice and community, and showing integrity in all he does.
