Thomas’ Testimony

Thomas is an experienced welder and mechanic who has been on disability for several years due to a severe back injury.

“When my back went out, I lost everything,” Thomas said. “I couldn’t afford to go to a dentist.”

By the time Thomas met EODDS volunteer dentist Dr. Mark Argo, he had been dealing with intense pain and suffering with bad teeth for most of his life.

“I was so self-conscious about my teeth that I would smile with my mouth shut and cover my mouth to laugh,” Thomas said, “and the pain was so bad that I couldn’t eat crunchy foods for years.”

Dr. Argo created an extensive treatment plan and explained that he and his staff would fix everything in Thomas’ mouth.

“I was speechless when I realized how much he was going to do to help me,” Thomas said, “I was always the person to help others. Now I was the one who needed help. I can’t find the words to explain how this has changed my life and the way I feel about the future.” He continued, “What surprised me the most is how much it mentally helped me, not just cosmetically. I’m more confident and I feel like I can be happy again. EODDS’ help is beyond what I expected. They put me with people who really care.”
